Polarization

These images were designed separately, but form one image when arranged correctly. This are intricate images with many layers that create one puzzle. Everything you need to solve the puzzle is in the images. Pencil and ink were used to create the different tones in each picture.

Daniel Zaug having always loved optical illusions, wanted to create an image only revealed when you had sunglasses on otherwise it was hidden. The polarization effect had been done, but only in black and white. The trick was to get color from nothing and be able to control what color is being seen. He learned how to control light and to twist it to create the different wavelengths needed.
