Daniel Zaug has had a lifelong interest in art and the relationship between hidden messages and puzzles. He continues studying optical illusions and anything that has to do with visual perception. Creating and inventing was also a big part of his life while attending school. Once he graduated from a New York University, he was granted the opportunity to pursue these ventures.

With his background in advertising art and design as well as traditional drawing, he worked on many high-end brands. Specializing in 3D animation, photo retouching, video editing, layouts, and web design. He then saw a need for a device he could create while working for a large company. This unit was designed and programmed by him leading to receiving a prestigious gold vision award.
